Dua lipa is a English musician and singer born on August 22, 1995, in London United Kingdom. In 2014, following a career as an actress and model she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She released her debut self-titled album in 2017. The album reached the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released, among them Be the only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked to number 6 on the charts in the United States. The album, which has now been certified platinum in a variety of countries across the world, won her two Brit Awards (in 2018) in the categories of British Female Single Artist and British Breakthrough artist. Dua lipa was born August 22, 1995 in London with Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. Her ancestors can also be traced back to the Kosovo city of Peja. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Her siblings are Rina as well as Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father, who was the guitar player and lead singer of Oda, the Kosovan rock band Oda.
